Moving weekend is here! I’m shutting things down for a few days while we make the transition to Ruston, LA. You can still call or email me as I’ll be working from my iPhone until we get unpacked and the Internet installed at the house. Peace!
My photography schedule for the rest of the year is fairly relaxed, which is the first time in years. I took this as a sign from God that He was helping me clear my schedule for the road ahead. Over the past year, Amanda and I have been praying for the day we would be able to move to Ruston. We both attended LA Tech University and fell in love with the town and the people. We knew we couldn’t up and move without a plan, so we thought about what we could bring to Ruston. As former students in the Art and Architecture departments, we knew Ruston needed an art supply store for the students and local artists. At this time last year, we didn’t know how it would all come together, but we knew we had a goal. Well, after a year of praying and saving pennies, we are now only a few weeks from that goal. The retail space is nearing its remodel completion, and there’s a space next door for a potential studio. This past weekend we made a trip to Ruston and signed a lease on a house. The details on the house were definitely a blessing from above, but I won’t go into detail on that. The store, which is called Fine Line Art Supply & Print Lab, will be open by September if all goes to plan.
We have set our last day in Baton Rouge to be on Saturday, July 17th. That is moving day!
I do have clients and weddings in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans area and plan on maintaining a relationship with them. I will also continue to take on new clients in the area. My photography will remain at the top of my priority list under God and Amanda. It is my passion and a form of meditation.
We are thankful to all of you that made Baton Rouge our home.

WOW!!! That’s awesome!!! Hopefully I’ll see you around. Come visit us at Cook when you get settled in!!!
Hey where are the pictures? You are always supposed to have pictures in a photographers blog post ya know. Amy and I are really excited to have both of you back in Ruston! Now hurry up
God has surely blessed you.
I’m ready man. Bring it on!
So glad y’all have everything lined up… Things happen at the right time for a reason, I firmly believe in everything happens for a reason and it was meant for your friend to refer me to you before you moved to Ruston. You all will be very successful in your new endeavor!
That is great. I was just up there with Rose for summer orientation. Do me a favor in September and keep an eye out for a little white truck going too fast. Keep me updated on when you open. We are up there on Sept 3 to move her in her dorm and would love to stop by and see you both again.
I say it was impromptu because Amie called me on Monday curious about shooting an engagement session. Of course I’ll shoot an engagement session…the next day. And now it’s Wednesday and I’m working on their blog post as their photos upload to their gallery. That’s a whirlwind first from call, book, shoot, edit, and post. I’m certainly not complaining either. I’m headed out of town tomorrow and certainly didn’t want these two waiting until next week for their photos. It was great to meet up with Amie and Joel in Downtown Baton Rouge between rain showers. You may recognize Joel, if not, the last photo should give you a hint. :-)
